Content Management System
A content management system, or CMS, facilitates organization, control and the collaborative creation of content while simplifying the way content is published to a website.
Essentially a CMS manages and controls a dynamic collection of web documents and allows different users to edit or add new documents without the possibility of compromising the sites "design".
No HTML or other programming knowlege is required to work with the documents, all the editing is done through a WISIWIG (what I see is what I get) similar to Microsoft Word.
